Independence Day
On the auspicious occasion of the 80th Independence Day of Pakistan, a flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Chancery of the Embassy of Pakistan, Kathmandu.
Messages of the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan were also read out on the occasion.
Ambassador of Pakistan H.E. Mohammad Aamir Khan unfurled the national flag. Members of the Pakistani community, Nepali friends, and Embassy officials with their families attended the ceremony. He highlighted the historic Pakistan Movement and the immense sacrifices of the Muslims of the subcontinent under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, paid rich tribute to the founding fathers, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to a peaceful, prosperous and progressive future. He also reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthening the longstanding bonds of friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and Nepal
