Pakistan ID Card/NICOP/POC.   National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is offering two types of identity cards to facilitate the Pakistani community living abroad. These cards offer valuable benefits and incentives to the card holders. Following section will help you to choose the right Identity Card for you and follow the procedure to apply for this card.

a    Smart National Identity Card for overseas Pakistanis (SNICOP). Apply for this card if you are a Pakistani citizen living abroad or a dual nationality holder. Children of Pakistani nationals or dual-nationality holders are also eligible for applying this card. b    Requirements for Smart National Identity Card (SNICOP).   National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) office is authorized to provide Smart National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (SNICOP) to Pakistani Diaspora.

  1. Original Pakistani Passport or Old ID Card or Domicile Certificate or Matriculation Certificate issued from Pakistan.
  2. Applicants applying for first time are required to provide detailed birth certificate mentioning father/mother names. Birth certificate without the names of father/mother will not be accepted.
  3. CNIC/NICOP card of Father and Mother (updated after marriage) or real brother or sister is required. Physical presence of any of such blood relative (Father/Mother/Siblings) having NICOP/CNIC is required for those applicants who are applying for the first time.
  4. Valid Pakistani Passport or valid foreign passport.
  5. In case a person does not have any blood relative, having NICOP/CNIC, then finger prints of any Pakistani citizen, holding CNIC/NICOP will be required at NADRA office, as a witness and the case will be forwarded to Pakistan for further verification.

c    Pakistan Origin Card (POC). Apply for this card if you are a foreigner with annulled Pakistani nationality or born to parents who have previously held Pakistani nationality.
