The Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu commemorated the 1st Anniversary of Marka-e-Haq Day today (on 10 May 2026) with dignity and national pride. Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, H.E. Abrar H. Hashmi, hoisted the national flag and messages of the President, Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister were readout. The ceremony was attended by members of the Pakistani community, friends of Pakistan, Embassy officials, and families. Special prayers (dua) were offered for the shuhada and for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan.
In his remarks, Ambassador Hashmi paid rich tribute to the leadership’s vision and courage, professionalism, and sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces in defending the country’s sovereignty during Marka-e-Haq, as well as to the resilient people of Pakistan for their unity, resolve, and unwavering determination in safeguarding the nation’s territorial integrity. He noted that Marka-e-Haq stands as a symbol of Pakistan’s steadfast resolve, national unity, and enduring commitment to defending its sovereignty in the face of aggression, emphasizing that true strength lies not in size, but in determination, capability, and national spirit. Pakistan wants peace but if attacked has exhibited total resolve. He said Pakistan not only thwarted the aggression but did so with finesse on all fronts including diplomatic and information.

The Ambassador highlighting the longstanding friendly relations between Pakistan and Nepal, reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm commitment to promoting peace, stability, dialogue, and constructive engagement in the region and beyond exemplified by the peace mediation in achieving ceasefire between the US and Iran.
