Ambassador Abrar H. Hashmi Attends Opening Ceremony of 9th Nepal International Film Festival
The Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, H.E. Mr. Abrar H. Hashmi, attended the opening ceremony of the 9th Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF) as a special guest.
The festival, a prominent cultural event in Nepal’s cinematic calendar, will showcase 80 films from 44 countries, reflecting the diversity and richness of global cinema. The Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu extended its support to this significant international event.
This year, distinguished Pakistani film producer Mr. Farjad Nabi is serving as a member of the jury for NIFF 2026, further highlighting Pakistan’s active participation in promoting cultural exchange through film.
The Ambassador appreciated the role of film festivals in fostering cross-cultural understanding and strengthening people-to-people connections between nations.
