🏏 11th Edition of Pakistan-Nepal Friendship T20 Cricket Tournament 2026 Concludes Successfully
The 11th Edition of the Pakistan-Nepal Friendship T20 Cricket Tournament 2026 concluded successfully following an exciting week of matches held from 7–15 February 2026. Organized annually since 2014, the tournament has become a hallmark sporting event promoting youth engagement and strengthening the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Nepal.
This year’s edition featured 12 competitive teams from various Nepali cricket clubs, including the Pakistan Embassy Cricket Team. Over the course of the tournament, players displayed exceptional talent, sportsmanship, and team spirit, reflecting the shared passion for cricket in both countries.
The concluding ceremony was hosted at the Embassy grounds, bringing together players, match officials, organizers, distinguished guests, and members of the community. The event served as a vibrant celebration of youth energy, camaraderie, and the strong people-to-people ties between Pakistan and Nepal. Once again, cricket proved to be a powerful bridge-builder beyond boundaries.
In his address, H.E. Ambassador Abrar H. Hashmi reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued commitment to promoting youth engagement and sports diplomacy with Nepal. He highlighted the positive impact of the tournament over the years, noting with pride that seven participating players have progressed to Nepal’s national-level cricket a testament to the platform the tournament provides for emerging talent.
Looking ahead, the Ambassador announced that the 12th edition of the tournament in 2027 will be expanded to 16 teams, further broadening participation and strengthening bilateral sporting cooperation.
The Embassy expressed its sincere appreciation to all players, match officials, the dedicated organizing team, and valued partners including Global IME Bank, Filli Cafe, Action Sports TV, and Dish Home for their generous support in making the tournament a resounding success.
